Jaguar is one of the most successful brands in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, having won the race seven times. In the 1950s, the C-Type and the D-Type defined an entire era. In 1953, the C-Type helped disc brakes make their breakthrough in motor racing, and the D-Type won three times in a row from 1955 to 1957. In Group C, Jaguar returned to the top: the XJR-9 triumphed in 1988 and the XJR-12 in 1990, both fielded by Tom Walkinshaw Racing and sporting the famous purple-and-white Silk Cut livery. The E-Type, one of the most beautiful sports cars of all time, also has its own racing history. Today, Jaguar competes in Formula E. The images in this collection showcase the racing cars that made Jaguar a legend.
