Hardly any other brand has shaped the history of motor racing for as long as Mercedes-Benz. In the 1930s, the Silver Arrows became legendary and dominated Grand Prix races with drivers such as Rudolf Caracciola. Great successes followed in the 1950s: victory at Le Mans in 1952 with the 300 SL, Stirling Moss’s legendary win at the Mille Miglia in 1955, and the Formula 1 titles won by Juan Manuel Fangio. In 1989, Sauber-Mercedes triumphed once again at Le Mans with the C9. In the DTM, touring cars such as the 190E became crowd favourites. In Formula 1, Mercedes, as a works team, secured eight consecutive Constructors’ titles from 2014 onwards. Mercedes-AMG also made history at the Nürburgring, with a one-two-three-four finish in 2016 and overall victory in 2026. The images in this collection showcase the racing cars and drivers who have shaped the legend of the Silver Arrows.
